I had a client tell me that she thought our knock knock jokes were unprofessional. This is the first comment like that I have gotten. most people are relieved to not get the usual boring music and messages. I know it has helped keep people on hold. i know many people make a positive comment when we talk to them. I hope I can convince them that corny knock knock jokes make for good marketing...

Listening to a few corny knock knock jokes can help people get their minds off the unpleasant reasons as to why they are needing a self storage unit .

You can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time. I agree with John that most of the people get a kick out of the knock knock jokes, And even those that don't still listen to them. Did the client have any ideas as to what be might "professional", aside from the hum-drum elevator music that EVERYBODY has?

From what I've seen, about 90% of our callers find the jokes funny. Roughly 10% are annoyed by them, but, to be fair, they are already annoyed to begin with (i.e. they're angry about something before they even pick up the phone). I think they're great. Also, if you're ever going to record a second round of them, I'd be 100% down for helping out with the recording. :)

Knock knock jokes are completely unexpected and humorous! It also makes for happier self storage prospects... which makes for looser pocketbooks... And they make us (and our clients) memorable!!! That is worth a LOT
