Back to school

The summer is finally over for children in Kindergarten through the 12th grade, and it is time to buy school supplies and school clothes for the anxious, restless children. This year my baby sister is going to the sixth grade, which is middle school, and was extremely excited. My little brother was happy because although he is going to the third grade, this is his first time walking to school alone, or with his friends. In the years prior my little sister and he always walked to school together. Now, he gets access to a cell phone and freedom. It is a sad thing. I was like an overprotective parent this morning, getting them out to the bus, and ready. I took at least twenty pictures of them both and cried when my little sister walked up the steps onto the bus. It was so overwhelming.

But, school supplies, like everything else these days are getting very expensive, so it is best to stock up during the Back to School tax free sales, and purchase enough supplies for the years following. You can never buy enough notebooks, loose leaf paper, pencils, and pens. These items can be easily stored in a storage container until the following year. This way when they need more paper of pencils, they do not have to be bought when the prices increase right after the start of school.

Indoor storage is certainly a good idea!

My kids are both in the public school this year it is amazing how much stuff it takes.  Good thing there is local self storage so we can keep our extra stuff there.
