I think that being a manager of a storage facility would be a nice job to have.  They are one of a few people that run the whole site and there job is to set people up with the storage and take care of the billing.  Other than that they want to make sure that the site is clean and safe for the customer.  Which if you stay on top of I would not think that it would be a hard thing to do. 

If you do not have the basics down when it comes to mathematical skills and especially if you work at a storage facility then now is the time to get educated. This plays a big part on all of the numbers that you may have to discuss with a prospective renter.

Just because you can through out all of these numbers to a possible renter they may not have the mathematical skills to figure out if your location is the best deal out of the ones that they may have already spoken to.

These days you have to fight for your business as the next guy down the road may be offering the $1 move in, or the 2^nd month free. That an easy to understand special that shows the customer up front how much they will save with them on their move in month.

However, if you are able to show the customer the ins and out of the offers that they can qualify for then you will end up with the upper hand. Move in specials, prepay specials, special discounts may all need to be calculated to show the possible renter the over all savings your company over the term of their rental.

So get to cracking on your calculator and get comfortable. The next call could be entirely based on what you are able to show them that the next guy cannot.

I pretty sure that I would not be good at running a storage facility or any other type of management position. Who knows, maybe I am wrong, but I have always felt that my talents were more in the sales field and people skills. I have never been very good with organization and staying focused on things from day to day.

I have had several people call me today and ask if the parking lot at their storage facility has been cleared of all of the snow from the storm this past weekend.  I do know that most of the facilities are open, but unfortunately I have no way of knowing the conditions of the parking lot.

It is snowing out side I am so excited you get to have snow ball fights and make iglues and snow angels the only part is not that fun is shoveling snow and the slick roads and tracking snow into the house that reminds me I have to go to my storage facility and take all of my snow equitment out before it gets to bad.

Update. I have the moving truck reserved Friday. A fourteen footer. It will not be and all day thing. Just need muscle to load and unload the heavy things listed in the first message and one more piece I forgot, a cast iron chimnea. Of course, will make use of truck to haul some boxes while I have it, but everything is color coded. Boxes with orange duct tape go to the apartment. Will be spending Thursday clearing a path to the items I need help with. I am off tomorrow and will not be accessing email to receive any replies that are sent to me after five PM today. So, if you are willing and able to help, I will be at the storage facility at eight AM Friday.  Thanks in advance.

When I am shopping around for differnt storage facilities I like to check all of my sources.  There are so many diff options to look into when trying to find out information about store facility.  There are lots of things that will factor into the price with all of these.  So just ask lots of questions and use all of your resources for the best results.

I am a movie director and make smaller movies that play in smaller theatres instead of your regular average theatre. Right now I am shooting an action movie and have found that the action scenes come out a lot better if we shoot them in real life instead of with a scene back ground or using a computer to make a back ground. One of the scenes takes place in a storage unit were a prisonor is held captive and our heroine is going to rescue her. I am calling around to find a storage facility that will let me shoot this scene at their facility. I will offer a large amount of money, not to mention their company would get to be in the actual movie!

This is my letter of availability to a storage facility . Im still in school, so my availability might fluxuate depending on class time. I have one week left in this semester before winter break. And at that time, my availability will be Mon thru Fri five to close, and the weekends will be open to whatever hours I am needed. Just let me know and I will do. I love storage.

last night I had a dream that I was in a storage facility and there was this scary sound and it sounded like rice crispys in a bowl with milk because they make crackaling norises and I was hiding in one of the units and the noise got louder and louder where it was herting my ears and I looked out and screamed and the I woke up I dont like dreams like that mainley because it just left it off I still wonder what was so scary I guess I will never know.
