OK, so I didnt go for the walk. I caved. I went by the storage and transferred two loads before I, once again lost feeling in my fingers, toes and EARS this time. Almost made myself sick. Tomorrow and the next day, I will have help. I am determined, we WILL get this done.
I love snow. Winter is my favorite time of the year. But I need to be working in storage so I do not have to pay for 3 storage units on the first. This makes it difficult to enjoy the season. I tried to get things done after work yesterday. After transferring one load, my hands and feet were numb with cold. Hm, since the weather is not cooperating with me to get this work done. And there is nothing I can do about it. I AM going to enjoy the snow, Bless it! It is settled, I will take a walk in the snow after work today. A short walk with my hands in my pockets for warmth, of course.
Warmth. Think Warmth. The holiday is over and we had our white Christmas. Now, Must have warmer temperatures between now and the end of the month if I am to finish shifting everything from the 10x30 and 10x15 storage spaces to the 10x20 storage unit . After that is done, I dont care how cold it gets. Could also use a pick up truck to haul a few pallets from the larger space to the consolidated space. The floor is cracked and I am concerned about moister damaging the books I have stored. will continue to store. Unfortunately, Climate Control space will not fit my budget, just now.

Absolutely NO money to spend for Christmas presents this year. This hurts. I want to be able to get something for each of my grandbabes, at the very least. I would also like to get something for my daughter and son in law. Been hoping I would come across something in storage that I purchased in the past that would be appropriate to give for Christmas gifts.
Grrrrrr, this is not a great time to move. The Christmas Holidays make it difficult to get help. The winter weather is limiting the time I am able to actually work shifting boxes from the two storage units I am vacating into the new storage space that I hope will hold all that remains. I MUST complete the transfer by December 31st or I will be paying on three storage units . ARGH! That will NOT fit my budget. sigh
OK, the heavy stuff is moved. Most of the things I need to have on hand are in the apartment. Now, I just have to shift all of the remaining boxes and stuff from the 10x30 storage space and the 10x15 storage space to the 10x20 storage unit before December 31st. My next day off is Christmas eve. Guess what I will be doing.
Update. I have the moving truck reserved Friday. A fourteen footer. It will not be and all day thing. Just need muscle to load and unload the heavy things listed in the first message and one more piece I forgot, a cast iron chimnea. Of course, will make use of truck to haul some boxes while I have it, but everything is color coded. Boxes with orange duct tape go to the apartment. Will be spending Thursday clearing a path to the items I need help with. I am off tomorrow and will not be accessing email to receive any replies that are sent to me after five PM today. So, if you are willing and able to help, I will be at the storage facility at eight AM Friday. Thanks in advance.
Well, I have had two declines and one offer of help. The rest remain silent. December is a rough month for moving . With the holidays and colder temps, I can understand why not many are coming forward to help. I must get things moved this Friday. It is the best weather day that corresponds with my days off. If I can just get help with the heavy pieces, the rest I can move myself. Ok, Universe, do your thing.
