I am certain that my children will be smart adults who think about a big purchase before they just jump into it. For instance, they will never buy a car that doesn't meet all their automoble self storage needs. Here's my logic in this thinking...

My sons are 3 and 1. A month ago, we took them to see the Monster Truck show - where you find self storage for your monster truck, I don't know. Since our Monster Truck adventure, my house has been LOUD!! Wether on foot or playskool car, my children shuffle their feet and zoom around making truck sounds.

It should be noted that a motorcycle sound, car sound and Monster Truck sound are very different. Ask Isaiah and he can enlighten you.

So the boys each have a little car they ride up and down the hallway. The seats of their car flip up to provide a little self storage unit . They are as fascinated with the self storage spaces as they are with ramming their cars into each other - just like the Monster Truck!

The great thing about the self storage units provided by these little toy cars is that we know when something is missing, this is the first place we should look.

To date, I have found the following items hidden away in the self storage warehouse my sons have turned their cars into:

Canned Food - this is one of Jordan's favorite games, pulling them from the only cabinet not locked and within reach, and stowing them into the best self storage spot he has.

Keys! After frantically searching everywhere as we were trying to get out the door for church, the keys were found in the mini self storage hideaway in Isaiah's car... we were very late!

Leftover Pizza - I am a believer in leftovers, and try to cook enough dinner to have it for lunch the next day. I'd like to think that my boys have learned not to waste, and so, they were probably full and just wanted to save those few bites for later...

Sippy Cups of Curdled Milk - ... all I have to say is that I am thankful for a climate controlled storage shelf in my refrigerator. You should not ignore the food storage instructions on your dairy products!!

Clothing - the hamper or dresser may have been inconvenient. After all, I keep a jacket in the car too, in case I get chilly. I guess the breeze from those long drives down the hallway can give little guys a chill. I can't blame them for using their advanced self storage skills.

Yes, my boys are very interested in what things will and will not fit into the little free space self storage room under their seat. It's for this reason that I know they would never buy a motorcycle or sports car (MOM THANKS GOD!!) because those small, compact vehicles don't offer enough value self storage space. Don't underestimate they boys, just because they won't buy a motorcylce doesn't mean that they can't give you a mean impersonation of nearly any car, bike or train!
