It is just past midnight and I am sitting here at McDonalds waiting for my sister to get off work. I came back to my home town this weekend and while I was sitting here waiting, I thought I would get some work done. I am a little distracted from the task at hand and ended up here instead of working on what I need to be doing.

It has been pretty interesting sitting here. I like to observe people.

I kind of feel like the ultimate Mystery Shopper as I watch the interactions of employees and customers, and then the way employees act when they think no one is watching.

Everyone is cleaning up now and putting things back in their storage spaces for the morning crew to come in a little less than 4 hours from now and cook their yummy breakfast sandwiches.

One of the things I noticed right away, and even said something to my sister  the manager about was that the crew cleaning lobby and working in the back had their mp3 players in their pockets and earphones in. I thought it was pretty shocking and was surprised that was allowed.

These small details are the sort of thing a good mystery shopper notes and reports. Hey, now that I think about it, maybe I should be charging my sister for my mystery shopping observations I am making while I am sitting here. Hhhmmm.
