Priorities
As you may know, we are experimenting with a new free form script at the call center. This script requires me to get a feel for individual callers needs as the call progresses likewise, it requires me to give the caller information that they actually want to hear. A question that I always ask nowadays is, what are your main priorities. What kind of qualities do you look for in a storage unit. I find it startling that so few people have an answer to these questions.
When someone does not know how to answer these questions, I know that they have no given storage enough thought. You have to get your priorities straight before you start shopping around for storage, honestly.
You may be wondering, how can I get my storage priorities straight if I have never rented a storage unit before. Simple, my friend take a look at what you will be storing. Do you have leather, electronics, antiques, lots of wooden furniture. If your answer to this question is yes, then chances are that one of your top storage priorities is going to be temperature control climate controlled storage space. Take another look around are you just storing a bunch of odds and ends things that you do not exactly need to keep, but that you cannot bring yourself to throw away. If your answer to this question is yes, then chances are that you do not need to rent a giant or a climate controlled storage unit a smaller, standard unit will most likely suffice.
If you are looking for self storage, be sure that you ask yourself these sorts of questions before you start calling around. That way, when you get someone like me on the phone, you will be ready and willing to describe precisely what your self storage priorities are.
