Landlord Generosity
We answer many calls and from time to time we come across someone who is in need of storage but cannot afford to pay for it on their own at the time they need the space. These are difficult situations because they are heartfelt and it can happen to anyone at any given time. Situations like these can include one who is being evicted from their home and the landlord would rather spend the move in costs for a storage unit for one month rather than put all of the tenants belongings onto the street curb.
So the self storage funding for these individuals can be attributed to the landlord who needs to rent the apartment out and where the person who is need of storage cannot live up to the contractual agreement that was made between them and the landlord at the time of the rental.
Although there be some animosity coming from the tenant because the landlord has to put them out, the tenant should consider themselves lucky enough to have had a landlord that nice to where they made sure that the tenants items would be safe for at least the next month. The landlord will then leave it up to the tenant to take care of from there. Some landlords I have known to even provide up to three months worth of self storage funding in order to help the person in need so they would have a little more time to get themselves together and not worry about storage rental costs for a while.
I can really appreciate the generosity of these landlords who are willing to help out people who are not so fortunate, or who have landed themselves in unfortunate situations.
