How to handle callers who are in crisis
Lets be real. We often end up on the phones with callers whose lives are falling apart. They can't get an apartment because their credit rating is too bad. They are going through a very ugly divorce. Their house is being foreclosed. They have lost their job.
These stories are common. We know have a resource that we can recommend to those callers who sound as if they need additional services than just a storage unit .
You may recommend that they call 211. It is an information and referal service that is ran by the United Way.
