How Does Your Storage Company Measure Up In Customer Service?

You may not think that a storage company would be any place where customer service would be important or available. The reason for that could be because the customer rarely sees anyone on their visits, and in fact, they rarely visit at all unless they are loading or unloading something from their unit. But customer service is important in virtually every industry, and this one is no exception.

From the very first phone call or email that a customer places, looking for information on sizes and rates of units, to the signing of the lease, there are plenty of opportunities for the employees of the establishment to present themselves in a helpful and friendly manner. This gives them social credibility, and it gives the customer a positive foundation for the remainder of the relationship, which, in this industry, can be many years.

Customer service is especially important in a business where the first impressions are often the only impressions ever received. Above and beyond the basic introduction and tour of the facilities and aside from signing the finalizing documents, employees of the facility might never have the need to interact with those customers again. Any interaction, therefore, however brief and trivial it may seem, should be positive interaction.
