I was in Seattle a couple of months ago, and I probably saw the sun less than a dozen times the entire seven days that I was visiting. It was nearly always overcast outside. The rain is different there than it is here. It has been dripping and puring now for a good fifteen hours or more, and it shows no signs of letting up. In Seattle, however, the rain is misty and soft. No one uses umbrellas, because the rain is so light, you barely even notice it. And watching the storms roll in across the Puget Sound is a beautifully uplifting and even spiritual experience. I would probably relocate to the upper West Coast if I ever had the opportunity. I know for a fact that I will visit Seattle again before too long, because I enjoyed the atmosphere of the city so immensely. Who knows, before too long I may be calling up and pricing out nationwide moving companies in search of the best deal to help me get my things up to the Pacific Northwest. With all that the region has to offer in the way of environmentally friendly and artistically inclined living, I feel like me and my girls would fit right in.
