When relocating, you have a choice to make when it comes to moving services, and the choice is often made in regards to the amount of money one wants to spend.

When money is not a factor, most would choose a full service option, in which professionals bring a large truck or van to your location, loading all of your belongings into it, and then drive it to your new location, unloading it for you there. This is costly, yet it equates to much less work for you.

The second option requires you to load up all of your own belongings, furniture and all, into specially made 'pods' that are brought to your location. These large, portable boxes are then picked up and delivered to your new location, where you unpack them yourself. It costs less than full service, but there is more work involved for you. 

The third option is the do it yourself option. You rent the truck, you load the truck, you drive the truck. Basically, you do it all. The equipment is available for rental, but the work belongs to you. This is by far the most affordable option in regards to money, but the most laborious in regards to your personal effort.
